Long ago, when demons and gods roamed the earth along
with the humans, A powerful demon dog fell in love with a human man and gave
birth to twin girls. One of the girls radiated a powerful demonic aura, while
the other was like a normal human. Upset about one of his children being a demon,
their father plans to assassinate the demon dog and their daughter. Fearing
that he would try something like this, the demon dog gathered her strength and grabbed
her. weapons to save her children. However, she could not get to them in time.
The man took them out to the forest behind their house and laid them on the
ground. Taking out a knife, the man says a silent prayer of forgiveness as he
raises the knife in the air. Shaking intensely, the man hesitates as he looks
at his sleeping girls. Then, the girl radiated her demonic aura again, causing her
sister to cry and squirm in pain. Reacting quickly, the man grabbed the crying baby
and cradled her in his arms. Almost immediately, she stopped crying and smiled
at him.
“I see that you chose your favorite child already,” the
demon dog said as she landed beside her demon child. She, then, picked up her
child. “Listen, Sai. I will raise this one, while you raise that one. And,
hopefully, they’ll be the change the world needs.” She says.
“Wait! Ariana,” He yells out as she jumps high into the
air. “What have I done?” he mumbled as he sees the woman he loves, and newborn
daughter flies into the night sky.
Twenty years later, Ariana and the daughter she raised,
Zara, met up with Sai and the daughter he raised, Luna, at their old home.
“Father, are you sure this is okay? I mean she did abandon
us. Are you sure she’ll show?” Luna said as she entered the living room.
“Truthfully, Luna, I don’t know. She was furious at me
that day. This might push her over the edge.” He replied.
“Father, we have to do this. I won’t be able to live
peacefully, otherwise.” She whined to her father.
“Alright,” he said, sadly.
Minutes later, Ariana and Zara landed in front of the
house in their dog forms. Then, they both transformed into their human forms.
They both had abnormally silver hair despite looking so young. They both also
wore armor, which covered their chest and right shoulder, and three small
swords.
“Mother,”
“Yeah, I sense it too, but I think you should meet your
sister and father at least once in your life, Zara. Besides, this number of
soldiers wouldn’t be much of a threat to us.”
“But, still, to think they had the audacity to come up
with this stupid plan. There won’t be any room for forgiveness.” Zara said as
she placed a hand on one of her swords.
“Calm down, Zara. You cannot cut down your family, no
matter what they done to wrong you. I
taught you better than that.” Ariana said.
“Tsk,” Zara clicked her tongue. “I know. You are right.
You taught me better. I’ll just take my anger out on the poor souls they’ve
gathered.”
“Ever the tomboy,” Ariana thought to herself, as she
knocked on the door. Opening almost immediately, the door swung open to reveal
a man in his mid-forties. “My, you’ve aged, Sai. Haven’t the god of time been
good to you?” Ariana said jokingly.
“Well, unlike you and your personality, I age and grow
over time.” He replied.
“Wow, is that the best you can do? And here I thought my
father would have a sharper tongue.”
“Father?”
“Yes, you remember the daughter you tried to kill when
she was only a baby.” Ariana said.
“You mean… little Sarah!”
“It’s Zara. And, as you can see, I am not as little as I
was that night. So, please don’t try that again.” She said as she leered at him
angrily.
“Right, please come in. And we’ll get to know each other
better.” He said, nervously.
Ariana and Zara walked into the house. As they enter the
living room, Ariana and Zara sees Luna and a man who looked the same age, if
not younger.
“Hello, mother… sister, I’m glad you both made it. Please
sit.” Luna said, politely.
“My, look how much you’ve grown. You look so much like
your father.” Ariana said as she sat down.
“With all due respect, mother, I do not want to have
small talk like father. I have a request for the both of you.” She said keeping
the same polite tone.
“Well, straight to business, huh. She is my sister.” Zara
said.
Ariana slightly laughed. Annoyed, Luna yelled “Listen,”
and Ariana stopped laughing.
“Alright, you have my attention.”
“Thank you. As I was saying, I have a request for you and
my sister. I want you and my sister to die.”
“What!” Zara said as she was about to draw one of her
swords. However, Ariana stopped Zara and sat her back down.
“Luna, explain your ridiculous request.”
“Well, it all started a few days ago. I was getting ready
to attend my fiancé’s family gathering when one of them, who was a priest of a
powerful goddess, invited their goddess. She revealed I was a half-demon. Immediately,
this made it difficult for me. They all started to treat me differently. Their
kind smiles turned into strong hatred for me.”
“Sorry to interrupt, but this still doesn’t explain why
you want us dead.” Zara said.
“Right, I’m sorry. The reason I’m asking your death’s is
because that goddess asked for your pelts as a sign of faith and loyalty.”
“Tell me, who is this goddess?” Ariana said.
“The goddess of war, Athena. Why?”
“Okay, I should’ve known it was her. She always had it
out for me.” Ariana said as she got up from the couch. “Zara, are you coming?”
She said.
“Sure, it’s better than listening to Luna’s pathetic love
story. The fact she had the audacity to ask something so selfish. If she wasn’t
my sister, I would’ve killed and devoured her a thousand times over.” Zara
said.
“You have no idea what father and I have been through
since mother abandoned us. We’ve moved from place to place just because I was
born from a demon that’s known all around the world for being a ruthless
murderer.” Luna cried out.
“Then, why don’t you ask your father why mother left.”
Zara said as she left behind Ariana.
“What? What are you talking about?” Luna yelled as she
went behind her sister.
As she reached outside, she saw the house was surrounded
by Athena and her soldiers with their weapons drawn.
“And, here thought we were going to have it out at your
temple on Mt. Plymoth. Maybe next time.” Ariana said as she drew one of her
swords that grew larger as it came out of its sheath.
“We can always do that later. She needs to humble herself.”
Zara said as she drew a katana from the small sheath on her back.
“Well, seems like you need to teach that daughter some
manners towards her superiors.” Athena said.
“Strange, all I see is an arrogant goddess who acts like
her perverted father.”
“YOU BITCH!” Athena yelled angrily as she charged at Ariana
and thrusted her spear at her head. After parrying her spear, Ariana slashed
downward, causing a huge shockwave of energy directed at Athena. Sadly, Athena
was able to dodge it at the last second. However, her soldiers behind her weren’t
so lucky. Afraid, the soldiers ran away from the battlefield.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Zara said as she
gathered demonic energy into her katana. Then, the energy radiated a dark
purple dragon from its blade. Ariana noticed what Zara was doing and jumped as
high as she could, leaving Athena there clueless. “Devour, Draco Crasher!” she
yells as she slashes downward, causing a huge wave of energy, in the form of
dragons, to spread out in front of her, swallowing Athena and her soldiers.
“Huh, that took a lot more energy than I thought it
would.” She said as she fell to her knee.
“Now, what did I tell you about using that move?” Ariana
said.
“Not to use it until I can control its output.” Zara
answered, weakly, as she struggled to stay on her knee.
“Jeez,” Ariana said as she transformed into her giant dog
form. She, then, grabbed and tossed Zara on her back. Leaping into the air, Ariana
ran through the crater, caused by Zara’s attack.
“There she goes again. Leaving with her favorite
daughter.” Luna mumbled to herself. She, then, remembered what Zara said to her.
“What did she mean?”
“Luna, I have to tell you something important about your mother.”
Sai said.
Days later, Zara wakes up in her bed with Ariana sleeping
beside her.
“I see your awake.” A man said as he and a woman walked
into her room.
“Uncle Hati? Aunt Houki? Why are you here?” Zara asked.
“Why else? To see our abnormal niece after finding out
she killed a goddess.” Houki said.
“Man, I still can’t believe you killed a goddess. You’re
not like any other half-demon I know.” Hati said.
“Well, she is Ariana’s daughter. That alone should be
enough of reason for her abnormal strength.”
“You speak like Ariana is the strongest of the Inukishin
Clan. Everyone knows that title belongs to me, leader of the clan.”
“Hati, we both know father wanted to give the clan’s head
to Ariana, but she turned it over to you because she didn’t want it.” Houki
said as she walked towards Zara.
“Houki, that’s might the truth, but do you have to say
that when I’m trying to look good in front of Zara.” Hati said, upsettingly.
“I’m sure she wont judge you based on your strength like
the others. Besides, she’s already stronger than you by tenfold.”
“What! You really believe that! Alright, then, let’s go.
I challenge you to a duel of strength, Zara Inukishin.” Hati said
“Sure, okay. I’ll take you on, uncle.” Zara said as she’d
gotten up out of the bed.
“Wait, you literally just woke up. Shouldn’t you wait for
few minutes to fight?” Houki said, worriedly.
“Don’t worry, I’m feeling a lot better now. Besides, as
long as I don’t use the Draco Crasher, I should be fine.”
Houki sighed. “Alright, just don’t push yourself too
much.”
“I won’t, Auntie.” She said as she held out her hands,
summoning her swords.
“Okay, Zara, let’s go to the training field, so we won’t bother
your mother.” Hati said.
“Good idea. Mother will kill me if she finds out that I’m
not resting after using Draco Crasher.” She thought as she walked out the room.
As they walked out to the training field, they were
intercepted by three kids. These were the young pups of Hati and his wife,
Erica. Every one of them took after their father, except the eldest, Tosei, who
took after Erica. And, like his mother, she doesn’t like half-demons such as
Zara.
“Father, why have you come here?” Tosei asked.
“I could ask you all the same thing. Shouldn’t you be in
school?”
“No, father, school was cancelled due to the fact that
mother was looking for you.”
“What? Your mother is looking for me. Why?” Hati asked, nervously.
“I guess because you’re always around these pathetic excuses
for demons. She fears you might get weak from being around them.” He answered.
Suddenly, Zara punched Tosei to the ground.
“I don’t care what you say about me. But don’t you ever
insult my mother, you brat.” Zara said, radiating demonic energy.
“Now, now, how about we get going and putting that energy
to better use than punching your cousin.” Hati said.
Zara scoffed, and said “right, but next time he say
something about my mother I don’t like, I’ll make sure he learn his lesson
about manners,” as she walked away toward the training field.
“Knowing Zara, that could mean big trouble and start a
civil war amongst our clan. And possible end of the Inukishin Clan.” Hati
thought to himself. “Tosei, take your
brother and sisters back home, and tell your mother I’m fine.”
“I’m sorry, father. I can’t leave until I teach that
lowly half breed a much need lesson.”
“Shit! Why did you have to say that?” Hati thought to
himself.
“Uncle, hurry up, I have a itch for a good fight. And I need
a strong opponent to quell it.” Zara said.
“She dares order the Clan’s head.” Tosei said as he drew
his sword and slashed at Zara. However, Zara parried his sword using her claws.
“Pathetic,” Zara said as she throws him back.
“Stop it! Don’t bully big brother.” His younger siblings
said as they protected him.
She turned around and walked away.
“What with all the noise?” Ariana asked as she walked up
behind them.
“Sister, you’re awake.”
“Hati, what did you do? Where’s Zara?”
“Why do assume it was me?” Hati asked, defensively.
Ariana looked at him, knowing he did something wrong.
Hati sighed and explained to her what happened.
Zara, waiting for her uncle, drew one of her swords. This
time, like her mother’s sword, it grew to an oversized katana blade. Then, she focused
her demonic energy turning the blade pitch black. “Extinguish, Abyssal Slash!” Zara yelled as
she slashed her sword upwards, causing a pitch-black energy wave to fly high
into the sky. However, it still caused damage to the surrounding area.
“What part of hold back don’t you understand? There won’t
be anything left if you keep destroying it with your sword techniques.” Ariana
said as she walked up behind Zara.
“Right, I’m sorry. I was just really irritated. Tosei
said something about you, and I got so angry at him I wanted to kill him.”
“I know. Hati explained everything before I came here. He
wanted me to make sure you wouldn’t do anything that would risk the Inukishin Clan.”
“Like what?” Zara said confused.
“He’s afraid that you’ll cause a civil war amongst the
Inukishin Clan.”
“A civil war? Can that even happen? He is the leader of
the clan. What can I do?”
“Oh, so you haven’t realized it yet. Then, this will be a
perfect opportunity to teach you about yourself.” Ariana said as she grabbed her
swords and placed them on the ground. This was hers and Zara’s way of challenging
each other seriously.
“It’s been a while since we had one of these, mother. Finally,
I have the perfect opponent.” Zara said as her lodge her sword into ground.
“When you say things like that, I questioned my parenting
methods. To think I made a battle hungry daughter.”
“Battle hungry? Really… you of all people calling me
that? Where do you think I learned it from?” Zara replied.
Ariana, suddenly, appeared in front of Zara, causing her
to react by jumping back from her sword. Almost immediately, Ariana gathered some
of her demon energy into her hand, turning her hand into a weapon sharp enough to cut through solid stone with
the slightest touch. Zara, paralyzed by
the sight of her mother, couldn’t think straight enough to do anything. She,
then, slashed horizontally, cutting through the air and grazing Zara’s chest.
“Inukishin Clan secret technique,
Spacial sword… a special technique taught amongst our clan to fully utilize our
demon energy.” Ariana said.
“Yeah, I know. You were the one
who taught me.”
“However, when you were taught
this technique, you did something unique. You opened a portal that lead to the
other side of the house. And, none of us can replicate that skill, which should
be unthinkable.”
“I think I get it know. Uncle is
afraid of what I can do because I’m abnormally stronger than the Clan, and uncontrollable.”
“In some way… yes. That’s exactly
right. But, that doesn’t I don’t love. If anything, it just prove that my love is
completely genuine. Okay.”
“Yeah… I get it. If you excuse
me, I’m starting to feel sleepy, and going to get rest in my room.”
“O-okay… have a good nap.” Ariana said.
“Zara, I will be there for you no matter what.” She thought with a strong, motherly
attitude.
“So, how did it go? Did you get
through to her.” Hati asked Ariana.
“I believe I did. So, you don’t
have to worry about a civil war. As long as you don’t agitate her, you won’t
have to worry about us wrecking the Inukishin Clan.” She answered.
“Come on, Ari. Why are you joking
like that? You know as much as I do how important our clan’s existence in the
world’s order.” He whined.
“It’s still the same with you two.
Hati begging older sister as she completely ignore his plea. It’s good to see
you two together again.” Houki yells as she sits on the training field’s wall.
“I’m not begging her. I’m just
trying to convince her not to go against us.”
“You mean you don’t want to se-
Hati, quickly, covered Houki’s
mouth.
“What is she talking about?”
“Nothing! Absolute nonsense! Just
forget about what she said?” Hati said, nervously.
Noticing how nervous Hati was
reacting, Ariana decided to leave it alone, to avoid from being agitated.
“Alright, I’ll leave the conversation alone. You know where the door is. Don’t let
it hit you on the way out. I’m going to bed. I’m still tired from earlier.” She
said, walking to the door.
Immediately, Hati and Houki left
because they didn’t want to incur Ariana’s wrath.
Three years later, on a stormy
night, Ariana is lying on the ground while her brother holds Zara by the neck.
“This all could’ve been avoided. If
only Zara held her tongue, you wouldn’t be in this situation. Now, make your
choice. Your life or hers.”
“Come now, little brother. What
kind of mother would I be if I didn’t sacrifice for my child. Wait, I
apologize. I didn’t mean to bring up your selfish wife just now. How is she
without her eldest child?” Ariana replied.
Angry, Hati extended his hand,
calling his sword which was stuck in Houki. He, then, plunged the sword in
Zara’s back. “Shine your light and seal my enemies, Sarayu!” Hati yelled. Instantly, the sword shined and streams of
energy surrounded Zara, swallowing her.
“Zara!” Ariana yelled as she
struggled to stand. Then, she grabbed the sword she kept in its sheath.
Removing it from its sheath, the sword radiated a strong demonic energy.
“No, Ari, don’t!” Hati yelled.
“Devour my enemies, Abyss Twister,”
Ariana yelled as she slashed at Hati, releasing a massive hurricane of Demonic
energy.
“Reflect, Harubei!” Hati said as
he drew another small sword while in its
sheath. This blade was able to redirect any demonic attack back at their opponent,
tenfold. However, it can only withstand so much without breaking. Sadly, Ariana’s
attacked surpassed its limits, causing it to break after sending the Abyss
twister back at her.
“M…mom,” Zara said, struggling to
free herself.
“Goodbye, Zara. Live well.” Ariana
mouthed before the Abyss twister consumed her, leaving no trace of her.
Shedding a single tear, Zara was
slowly dissolved into the sword, leaving her armor and swords behind.
“It’s done. The threat to
Inukishin Clan has been eliminated.” Hati said.
